Welcome to my cookie and privacy policy page 🍪😋
Nobody enjoys spending their Sunday afternoon reading privacy policies. But hey, it’s kinda important.
So I’ve decided to make this as simple, straightforward, and fun as possible—because who says legal stuff has to be boring? Grab a coffee (or a cookie), and let’s dive in.
What are cookies?
You can’t browse the internet these days without seeing a cookie banner. Annoying? Definitely. Confusing? Oh, 100%—especially if you’re not sure what cookies actually do or whether clicking “accept” is the right call.
Here’s the deal:
Cookies are like little digital Post-it notes that help my site work better for you. They’re stored on your device and remember things about your visit so you don’t have to start over every time you swing by.
For example:
They save your preferences. Like your language choice or where you left off on a video.
They speed things up. No endless buffering—cookies let your browser take shortcuts.
They make things relevant. Cookies (and their buddies, tracking pixels) make sure you see ads and content you actually care about.
What about tracking pixels?
Pixels are like cookies’ tech-savvy cousins. They’re tiny, invisible bits of code that tell me how you interact with my website and ads.
For example, if you visit my site and later see an ad for my services on Instagram, that’s a pixel doing its thing.
Cookies are stored on your device to make your browsing smoother.
Pixels send info back to platforms like Meta or TikTok to help improve how my ads reach people like you.
Should you be worried about cookies?
The internet has its sketchy corners, and it’s good to stay cautious. But I wouldn’t worry excessively about cookies.
Here’s why:
You stay anonymous. Cookies and pixels don’t tell me who you are. They just give me general stats, like how many visitors drop by, which pages are the biggest crowd-pleasers, and what stuff people end up buying.
Your personal data stays personal. Unless you voluntarily share your info with me, I won’t know who you are. And to ensure your privacy, your personal data is kept completely separate from cookie data.
You can delete your cookies any time. Cookies are stored locally in your browser, which means they’re yours to keep—or delete—whenever you feel like it.
TIP: Want to manage your cookie preferences? Click the little cookie icon at the bottom of the screen anytime. 🍪
Personal data
Unlike cookies, personal data is all about you. It’s the info that identifies you and might be a bit more sensitive.
But don’t worry, I only collect your personal data when you choose to share it with me. For example, when you:
Sign up for my newsletter or a waitlist.
Make a purchase.
Fill out a contact form. (Ooh, I love hearing from you!)
Here’s what I may collect:
Name and email: For purchases, newsletters, or inquiries.
Address and VAT number: For invoices, shipping, or the occasional surprise gift (because who doesn’t love surprises?).
Payment details: Securely processed through Stripe or PayPal—I don’t store any of this data myself.
Your opinion or personal experience: When you fill out a form, because your opinion matters to me.
Third-party tools I use
To keep my business running smoothly, I rely on trusted platforms like these:
Stripe: For secure payment processing.
ThriveCart: My checkout cart for purchases.
BigScoots: Hosting my site to keep things running fast and glitch-free.
Google Workspace: For documents, data, and forms.
Google Analytics (GA4): For website stats and insights to improve your experience.
Mailerlite/Amazon Web Services: For sending newsletters and email campaigns.
Hotjar: To understand how visitors interact with my site (and make it even better).
Vimeo: For videos and all the nerdy analytics that come with them.
Pixels from Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, and LinkedIn: To show targeted ads to people who might love what I offer.
These aren’t just random names—they’re my digital A-team, making sure everything runs smoothly for you.
How I protect your data
Your privacy is a big deal. I promise to treat your data the way it deserves to be treated—like a VIP. That means securely, respectfully, and always in line with the all fancy rules like GDPR and data protection laws.
Here’s how I keep your data safe:
Your data is stored securely on trusted platforms (listed above). Each provider complies with EU privacy standards to ensure your data stays protected.
Only I (and trusted service providers) have access to your data. It’s never shared without your consent.
Personal data is kept entirely separate from cookie data to protect your anonymity.
I’ll only use your data for the purpose it was collected. And when it’s no longer needed, I’ll delete it faster than you can hit “unsubscribe” on a spam email.
And because the accounting fairies demand it, I hold on to all purchase records for five years.
Consent
When you share your data with me, you're giving me the green light to handle it according to the policy outlined on this page.
If you’ve signed up for my newsletter, you’ve agreed to let me pop into your inbox with updates, tips, and occasional offers.
You can unsubscribe from my newsletters at any time. Just hit the handy unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or reach out to me directly and let me know you’re done with my emails. No hard feelings—I’ll still think you’re great!
I’ll hold onto your email address and any info about purchases you’ve made with me for as long as it’s relevant—or until you decide it’s time for me to delete it.
Your rights
Your data, your rules. Therefore, you’re 100% entitled to:
Peek at your data: Wondering what info I’ve got stored? Just ask, and I’ll send it your way.
Hit delete: Had a change of heart? No problem. Let me know, and I’ll erase your data faster than your browser clears its history.
Tweak your cookie settings: Not loving your current choices? Adjust them anytime by clicking the cookie icon at the bottom of the screen. 🍪
